Rica Arai

Atelier d'HANA is an online shop specializing in ikebana accessories, supervised by Rica ARAI, a Sogetsu ikebana artist based in Paris.
With over 30 years of experience, Rica ARAI carefully selects each tool and vase, prioritizing quality, beauty and ease of use.

PROFILE

She entered the Sogetsu school in 1993.
The works she creates are always free and dynamic, without any conceptual constraints. In addition to her work as an ikebana artist, she enjoys collaborating with many other artists.

She also began her professional career as a floral decorator during her time in London from 1996 to 1999.
After returning to Japan, she began working as an ikebana teacher.

Since 2008, she has run her own ikebana workshop, Atelier d'HANA, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris.
She teaches ikebana classes, decorates the residence of the Japanese ambassador and restaurants, and works on floral event projects. In addition to these activities, she also participates in numerous events as an ikebana demonstrator to promote the art of ikebana.
